Rail Union RMT’s latest days of strike action are planned for 26th January, and 2nd, 9th and 16th February on northern lines, as German owners put the company up for sale.
The latest strikes take place as Arriva is put up for sale by Deutsche Bahn. Rail workers are to stage fresh strikes next month in the long-running dispute over guards on trains, causing more travel misery for passengers.
Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) on Arriva Rail North (Northern) are already striking on January 26th.
The union announced that further stoppages will be held on the first three Saturdays of February.
